Star Whackers: The Movie!

March 29, 2011

The embattled Quaids, Randy and Evi, have decided to mine their legal woes for their cinematic potential. The Quaids’ legal troubles started getting national press coverage – something eluding Quaid’s acting performances for many years – last Spring and the story kept getting more and more bizarre. Now comes word the Quaids have shot a film, which is designed to turn skeptics into true believers.

Star Whackers, will screen on April 22nd and loosely follow a plotline where shadowy forces are trying to murder Randy Quaid to steal his star power for themselves. The project is yet unfinished but will be shown as is. Evi released a statement, clarifying, “For the first time I would like an audience reaction to my art as a work in progress, so I may understand its content through other eyes.”

In addition to the film, there is also a “Star Whackers” song, which is performed by Randy Quaid and The Fugitives:

Absolutely off the rails. Was he even acting in Independence Day?

@Redlami: oooh, if he is just like that character, that doesn’t bode well for this not ending in death…..OMG JUST LIKE RANDY SAID.

Smart move, Quaids: I wouldn’t buy the album, but I’d watch that movie!

The second half of the title should be spelt W-A-N-K-E-R-S. And they could have left the first half out.

SMH. What can I even say? “For the first time I would like an audience reaction to my art as a work in progress, so I may understand its content through other eyes.” What? What?!

I find this so bizarre, yet I cannot turn away.
