RIP Long Beach Legend Nate Dogg

March 16, 2011

The Long Beach Post reports that R&B soulsinger Nate Dogg (aka Nathaniel Dwayne Hale) passed on Tuesday. He was 41. Details on the cause of death have not been released, though he’s had ongoing health problems in the past few years related to two strokes. Nate Dogg had success as a solo artist but primarily is known for his on point collaborations with Snoop Dogg, Warren G, Dr. Dre, and others, and I have long been a fan of his voice.

Here are some of my favorite videos featuring the singer. I hope the transition is easy for him into the next episode. RIP Nate Dogg (1969-2011).

Did we ever figure out if that was D’Angelo’s younger brother?

If you smoke like I smoke, then you’re high like everyday.

Damn. I go to sleep like a normal person and wake up at some point in the afternoon to discover Nate Dogg is dead. That’s messed up.
