Celebrity Dress Shortage: Dark Angels Hailee and Chloe

January 28, 2011

It seems apropos that two kick ass young actresses would be drawn to the same age appropriate, edgy black Stella McCartney number. Hit Girl Chloë Moretz (right) rocked the frock first – back in October. Hailee Steinfeld showed her True Grit when she raged the dress in December. You know, there’s always someone bitching about young girls being tarted up like Bratz dolls, yet very little acknowledgement of the sweetly dressed, young female actors putting their own quirky spin on the designer duds their handlers force them to wear. Both chicas look adorable!

I am grateful anytime even a semi-charismatic youngster becomes a star and doesn’t dress like she is competing on the same street corner as Jodi Foster in Taxi Driver. Explaining away the misdeeds of Hollywood(Disney Channel) starlets to my daughter is becoming a full time job.

Having been a kid who used to frequently leave the house looking a hot mess, parents have an exhausting job.

I love the cut of this dress! It’s hard for lace not to look like Mee Maws curtains/doilies.

I think they both look great. It’s a great length for a teen. I wish those pics showed the shoes more, but I’m getting the picture.
